We’re big fans of the wonton and once had a recipe that was exceptional but has long ago disappeared. We’ve made this one from the food network a couple times but I haven’t felt it turned out quite right, probably because I want it to taste like the one we cannot find (though they, from what I recall, have fairly much the same ingredients..).
We tinkered a bit again, doubling the veggies, replacing 1/2 the tofu with tempeh (a very good move) and steamed and drained the cabbage first. We also tried boiling a few to see if that would improve the experience and briefly seared the remainder after they were steamed.
I favor the steamed and fried over the boiled but they were both good and quickly comsumed.
