“Soup again..” said the kids.
This likely doesn’t qualify as French onion soup, but maybe Quebec soupe à l’oignon.
Pretty tasty, and simple to make if time cosuming.

A good, easy soup, proposed for the slow cooker, formulated stove top – who remembers that kind of thing..

Mushroom hot pot from the ppk with a Thai-ish turn, containing coconut milk, lime juice and lemongrass.
The broth was nonetheless subtle enough to present the mushrooms nicely.
Additional fungal varieties and some blackened green beans were the only additions.

We usually use Mom’s standby recipe for hot and sour soup, but this looked good so we thought we’d give it a spin.
A thing Jen sometimes mentions is ingredients and directions are relevant and that advice is generally not attended, on occasion leading to arduous, too long mid-week meal making or exceptionally inappropriate quantities – what we got here (the latter).
The first ingredient is 12 cups of imitation chicken broth – a clue, a clue (!) that this might be a rather large amount of stew.
However, by fortunate coincidence, my parents were returning us a daughter that evening on the end of a two day drive back North from Tennessee and eventually it occurred to me they might want to eat dinner.
And so, with the remaining veggie balls, a fine feast was served:
We stuck fairly true to the ingredients, de-heating a bit, switiched in cellophane noodles, and a few additional fungal forms.
A scrumptious, savory soup for six – twice. Also a little bit left over for a lunch.

Just like it says on the label: One tablespoon miso with 3/4 cup water, additions of sauteed scallion, cauliflower, kale, carrot, mushroom and thin strips of seitan:
Ridiculously simple and delicious.

Really excellent, hearty soup. Omitted salt and added a dash of soy and fire oil per serving.
Served with a slice of seseme sunflower whole wheat.
Very good mixing half the toppings in at the second knead and combining all the toppings as per the comments. Also, rises better adding the yeast to the (soy) milk and needs a bit more flour kneaded in but keep the dough sticky.
